Vacations Can Be Murder by Dawn M. Barclay is a true crime lovers guide to the darker side of New England. It’s a quick read due to, in most cases, brief synoptic overviews of the crimes committed in different areas of New England. Since it’s basically a travel itinerary, this isn’t a drawback, and if you’re intrigued by a case, a quick Google search will give you everything you could possibly want to know about the incident.
I like that the author has provided information about prisons and victim resources. There is also information about gravesites of both victims and criminals. As a true crime fanatic for decades, I’m looking forward to more volumes, particularly the south where I grew up. I’ve lived in the UK for 20 years now, but still love to read about American crime!
